The “think!!” DVD has been produced to strike a thought in the minds of young people during those critical moments where criminal acts, thoughts, or situations are prevalent.  It was produced to show the consequences of those acts; which include incarceration, and other burdens on the family and the community etc.

Statistics show nationwide that numbers for juveniles arrested for violent crimes (murder, robbery, etc.) rose 17.8 percent in a five-year trend (2002-2006) and those numbers continue to increase.  In that same five-year trend juveniles arrested for weapons violations rose 30.9 percent, drug abuse violations 16.7 percent. These numbers are alarming!  The “think!!” DVD will allow facilitators to provide young people with real life chronicles from juveniles who were in common situations that their students often find themselves and to provide an avenue to open discussion about these situations.

Also included in the “think!!”  DVD package will be a facilitator’s manual that provides guidance on conducting group discussions and other topics, think!! work booklet, designed to ask questions that will help point out any negative behaviors that could lead to prison, & a “think!!” rubber bracelet. The jewelry that could make the difference between a good decision or a bad decision.
